Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala | August 2026: After spending 27 years building a successful career in the global IT industry, Sudhir R. Nambiar is turning a lifelong passion for technology, science fiction and storytelling into a new literary chapter.
Born into a humble family in Kerala and raised in Bengaluru, Sudhir began his professional journey as a software programmer and went on to hold senior leadership positions during an extensive career with global technology organizations including General Electric (GE) and Hewlett Packard (HP Inc/HPE).
A career sabbatical taken last year to focus on family commitments became an unexpected turning point. Away from the corporate environment, Sudhir found the opportunity to revisit an enduring passion that had remained with him since childhood—reading and storytelling.
An avid reader, Sudhir draws inspiration from acclaimed writers such as Dan Brown, Isaac Asimov, Amish Tripathi, Agatha Christie, Erle Stanley Gardner and Stephen King, while his fascination with space exploration has played an important role in shaping his creative interests. His stories combine elements of science fiction, technology, mystery and thriller narratives.
His transition from the corporate world to writing was also encouraged by his son, an equally enthusiastic reader who became his first reader and most candid critic. His feedback and encouragement motivated Sudhir to refine his manuscripts and eventually pursue publication.
Building a Science-Fiction Universe
Sudhir’s growing body of work includes the Mission Mars Trilogy, a three-book series comprising The Mangalyaan Protocol, The Crimson Divide and The Jezero Cipher. The series explores his interest in space, technology and futuristic storytelling through a thriller-oriented narrative.
